In a satellite project the thermal control subsystem aims at monitoring and controlling the heat exchange of the remaining satellite subsystems. The temperature of mechanical, electrical and electronic components must be kept within target design along the space mission. Some examples of thermal control methods: multi-layer insulation, thermal coatings, radiators, thermal shutters, electric heaters, thermoelectric coolers, heat pipes etc.
